28 February: Staffs beat Notts in the 160 competition but it is not enought to displace Notts from second position. In the under-120, Worcs lose heavily to Staffs Bulldogs and must win their last game to stand a chance of qualifying for the ECF stages. I understand that Jack Rudd has had to relinquish the role of national Controller because of ill health and the new controller is Leicestershire President Sean Hewitt.

20 December: Worcs go second to staffs in the U-140 table after narrow win against Warks.

6 December: In the Minor Counties, the leaders Lincs and Leics draw. Thanks to Dave Scriven, Worcs, we find the rules state that MCCU have the right to nominate up to three teams for national stages in those sections where there are 5 or more entries: the u-120, u-140, u-160 and Open competitions.

27 November: Lincolnshire have had to withdraw from the under 140 competition so their match lost against Staffs does not count towards the table in the U140.

21 November: Warwickshire are the first county to win a competition with a decisive 9½ - 6½ win over Nottinghamshire in the u180.

15 November: Lincs go to the top of the Minor Counties and Staffs Bulldogs lead the u120 competition.

10 November: Staffs are leading in the Open Championship and the first matches in the Minor Championship are due next weekend. In the U-160, Shropshire after surprise draw against Greater Manchester went one better with an emphatic win against Warks. The u-140 competition is finely balanced and Worcs have been the first home side to gain a win in this section. Only one drawn match has been completed so far in the u-120 section.

12 October: The first two open matches see Staffs head the Open Championship.

5 October: Shrops-Warks U-140 is the first result this season to be posted. The other match in the U-140 competition this weekend was also won by the away side. Click the U-140 navigation on the left for more information and links to detailed results.

5 September: The 2009-10 fixtures List is published by Julie and captains should have received the 2009 match rules and contact details for County team captains (click links on left).

1 September:Closing date for entries sees Derbyshire join the Championship against Manchester Federation, Warwickshire, and Staffordshire. A total of 29 teams compete, Warwickshire having one team at every level.
