2011-12 Season
|
Last updated 6 November 2011 Counties enter 29 teams for 2011-1228 Oct. Leics u160 team are withdrawn. 5 Sep. Notts are not attempting to run an Open team this season leaving Warwickshire and Staffordshire to fight for the title. Both teams automatically qualify for the National Stages. That leaves 6 teams to fight for the two National place in the Minor Championship. Lincolnshire make up for the loss of Notts open team by entering an extra team in the under-120 championship. Leicestershire have entered the under-140 rather than the under-120. Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire will battle it out for the under-180 and under-100 championships. The current fixtures dates should therefore see three championships decided by the end of January. 4 Sep. Julie Johnson has sent the fixtures lists for the new season to captains or county secretaries. These are now available in a draft webpage using the "Fixtures list" menu button on the left. The webmaster is inviting county team contacts to check the accuracy of information on the fixtures page of this website before linking it to an Adobe pdf version for printing. Please inform Julie Johnson, Controller, and Ray Collett, webmaster of any errors or changes of match dates, changes of personnel or cantact details of team captains.
25 June. At the MCCU AGM, Julie Johnson has again agreed to control the MCCU Inter-Counties Matches working with the Director of Events, Cyril Johnson. Greater Manchester representatives reported that they would be likely to enter the Minor Championship in 2011-12 rather than the Open. Various proposals to change rules were discussed, but major changes were remitted for further consideration and minor tidying-up only approved. See MCCU 2011 AGM summary. 21 May. At the Worcs CA annual meeting, the county is likely to enter Minor, u140 and u120 teams in the 2010-11 season. |
