Grand Prix

The MCCU Midland Individual Title was run in 2007/8 as a grand prix. The MCCU player with the highest aggregate score in the Opens of the three events listed (Leicester, Warwickshire and Nottingham ) secured the Midland Individual Title, holds the trophy for one year and win the £100 first prize. The fist winner is Ankush Khandelwal (Ashfield, Notts)

In addition, the highest placed Midlands player in the grand prix not already qualified for Liverpool 2008 and who wishes to participate received the MCCU nomination and be able to play in the British Championship. That place went to David Coates of Lincoln.
