The first match due on 10 October was conceded by Leicestershire and the second on 17 October saw two very evenly matched sides fight to a draw. On 21 November, Warwickshire join the fray with a win against a higher graded Worcestershire side. At the end of January Staffs Bulldogs go to the top of the tabel with a narrow win against Warwickshire. The pattern of results in this match was most unusual: Warks won 5 out of 6 game points on the top six boards, yet still lost.
