A remarkable win by an outgraded Notts side. Board 12 proved somewhat an issue because the players had the wrong colours and the losing side appealed that the game should have been restarted as soon as this was drawn to the attention of the Notts captain. A senior ECF arbiter ruled the result should stand because Article 7.2 says ‘If a game has begun with colours reversed, then it shall continue, unless the arbiter rules otherwise’. See Neil Graham's report on the Notts website.
