Roger Brown reports. After five games finished relativly early, Shrops were 4 - 1 down (losing three and drawing two of them). Thereafter, games then began to go to Shrops. Near the end Richard Thompson on board 1 needed only a draw to win the match. Richard had the advantage in position and on time and went on to win. An interesting position occured in Chris Lewis's game. Christopher's opponent thought he had won a queen, but ended up back-rank mated.
