Snowed off: Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire nominated

 

1 Mar, Neil Graham reports. Counties were be invited to compete early in the new year and two entries were received: from Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire. The two teams agreed to play on 25 March, but there was severe snow especially in the eastern counties and it was too near the ECF deadline to arrange a fixture before the national controller required nominations from the MCCU. The two counties' officials consulted and agreed that Warks would be first nomination this year and if the same situation were to occur in a future year, Nottinghamshire would be first nomination from the MCCU.
