David Levens writes: This was a very hard fought match with Notts only achieving victory in the final seconds! With two games remaining Devon needed 1½ points to draw the match and win on countback. As they held the advantage in both games, Notts felt sure that the title was slipping from their grasp. But, somehow, both players held out and with seconds remaining on both clocks draws were agreed and Notts emerged victorious!!
