Match report, Richard Turner (Worcs). Worcs got off to a winning start in a close encounter with Leics. After the top 2 boards had agreed draws, the score was tied at 5½ all. A pawn up, but with opposite coloured bishops Worcs captain finally managed to lock up the pawns and march his king to get the winning point. It might have been different if Leics had not defaulted on Board 12.
