Greater Manchester win u160 final

 

7 Jul. In the ECF County team final held at Syston, Greater Manchester beat Yorkshire on board count. Meanwhile, Leicestershire lost 7-9 to Hertfordshire in the Minor Counties final. 9 Jun. Leicestershire beat Essex in the Minor Counties and Greater Manchester beat Hertfordshire in the u160; but Nottinghamshire u160 lose to Yorkshire, Worcestershire u140 lose to Hertfordshire, Warks u120 lose to Essex, and Notts u100 lose on board count to Kent in the semi-finals.

19 May. Warks and Staffs were eliminated from the Championship. Leics beat Cambs, but Lincs narrowly failed against Essex in the Minor Counties Championship. In the u-180 competition, both Midlands counties lost. The u-160 championships saw Notts win by default and Greater Manchester beat Lancs. Worcs are already through to the semi-finals of the u-140 and are the sole torch bearer for the Midlands because Leics lost to Surrey. Warks beat Norfolk in the u-120 Championship and Worcs lost on board count to Lancs. In the u-100 championship Warks had to withdraw letting through Essex.

25 Mar. The last Midlands matches have been played. Midlands county teams eligible for the National stages are: Open - Staffordshire & Warwickshire; Minor - Leicestershire & Lincolnshire; u180 - Warwickshire & Nottinghamshire; u160 - Nottinghamshire & Greater Manchester; u-140 - Worcestershire, Leicestershire & Warwickshire; u120 - Staffordshire Terriers & Worcestershire; u100 - Nottinghamshire & Warwickshire.

14 Jan. The draw for the national stages has been announced. Matches should be played on, or by mutual agreement before, or on the Sunday immediately following, the dates here listed: Preliminary Round by April 28th; Quarter Finals by May 19th; Semi Finals by June 9th; and, Finals on July 7th at Moat Community College, Leicester.

5 Sep.The first Midlands qualifiers are already known because there were two entries only for the Open, u180 and u100 competitions and Midlands counties can nominate up to two teams for each competition. Warwickshire can be nominated for the Open, u-180 and u100 competitions; Nottinghamshire for the u180 and u100; and Staffs for the Open.
