15 Mar. Notts beat Leics in a close final to bag their first championship since 1931 or 1975
25 Jan. Notts knock out Staffs in the Midland interzonal for the championship and Leics beat GMC.
7 Dec. In the West, Staffs demonstrated a secure win against Worcs and GMC beat Warks in the West, while in the East, Leics beat Lincs and Notts beat Derbys.
2 Nov. In the West, GMC beat Worcs as expected, but not without serious effort and Staffs beat Warks comfortably. In the East, Notts beat Leics and Lincs beat Derbys in close matches.
19 Oct. In the East, Notts beat Lincs.
4 Oct. Midlands Champions Staffs were beaten by Greater Manchester. In closely fought matches, Warks just beat Worcs in the West and Leics pipped Derbys in the East Zone.
23 Sep. The East Zone match Notts-Lincs has been put back to 19 Oct.
13 Sep. After much debate, Staffordshire are going to join other counties in the union stage for the 2013-4 season. They have been assured of a nomination for the national stage of the Open team tournament. The remaining counties will compete for three places in the national stage of the Minor Counties tournament. The tournament reverts back to East and West Zones. The winners and runners-up from the zones then play in a final and a playoff, if required. The controller has prepared for the possible scenarios (pdf). In the scenario where Staffs win their zone, but lose the semifinal match no play off will be required to determine the third nomination for the Minor counties' nomination.
